Don't let lame-o's try to rain on your parade... unless it's constructive criticism, you don't need to accept it. Also, fuck what they say about *this industry* there are no rules and there are no standards that you have to live by (other than your state board regulations ofc 🤪)
When students ask me what the best way to grow your business is, I always start with BE YOURSELF. No one wants a hairstylist that has to pretend they enjoy your company. Be real. Be intentional. Love your craft, and never stop learning and searching for new information & new techniques.

Hey! I'm Samantha
My license says 'Hairstylist' but honestly I'm more like a commission artist! Hair is my canvas and hair color is my medium. You'll find that my skill is bright, fantastical colors that will have strangers asking if its a wig. I treat every appointment like an art collaboration! We go over in depth about your hair history, hair routine, and hair goals. I love picture references, color schemes, and even personal drawings! Imagination and creativity lead every appointment and I absolutely live for the smile on your face when you finally see your dream hair on your head.
When I'm not doing hair, you might find me cheering for my son at his games, playing guitar and singing with my band (Young From Behind), wishing it was Halloween, disc golfing with my husband, or saying "Life's a party, rock your body".
